Clubs can now choose to set their default refund setting to club wallet instead of real money when a player has paid with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. When a booking is refunded, the funds are credited back to the player’s club wallet rather than returned to their original payment method. It’s a simple setting, but one that can have a meaningful impact on retention.
How it works
Why this feature matters
Refunding to a club wallet instead of the original payment method helps keep funds within your club, giving players a natural reason to come back and book again rather than spending elsewhere. Over time this can meaningfully improve retention, as players become more locked in to playing at your club. This whole feature and setting is a choice for each club to make for their business — it is not something Nettla forces. Every club is different, and we want to give you the tools to run yours the way that works best.
